I am motivated by a mechanistic understanding of cancer cell biology. My current research focus is the Wnt signalling pathway. Aberrant activation of Wnt signalling is a hallmark of the majority of human colon cancers. My goal is to identify transcriptional events downstream of Wnt pathway activation unique to colon cancer cells. A thorough molecular understanding of Wnt-mediated transcription could reveal novel therapeutic strategies for colon cancer.
